The SEEQS Sharing Hub

Offering opportunities to learn SEEQS’s practices in interdisciplinary, place-based, inquiry-focused learning

Offerings for the 24-25 School Year

  • EQS Camp Experiences

Format: In person, at community sites

    Dates: September 28, January 25, June 7

SEEQS values meaningful, place-based learning opportunities, as well as thoughtful community partnerships. We will be hosting three EQS Camp experiences throughout the school year. Join us for one (or more) to work alongside one another and reflect on how facilitate these experiences for our students and communities.

  • EQS Deep-Dives

    Format: In-Person (Sliding fee, $75-$150)

    Session Dates: November 8 & April 11

Our Essential Questions of Sustainability course is part of what makes SEEQS unique! In this session, we’ll learn about the structures that help this interdisciplinary, project-based course run, look at student work, and see students and teachers in action. Participants will leave with a toolkit of materials that can support the implementation of similar classes in different contexts.

  • Portfolio Defense Deep-Dive

    Format: In-Person (Sliding fee, $50-$195)

Session Dates: March 1 (Portfolio) & May 2-3 (Defense)

Experience what our Portfolio Defenses look and feel like in real time. In the first day, we will learn about the Portfolio process (and why it’s separate from the Defenses). In the next session, we’ll see student Defenses in real time. Participants will leave with a toolkit of usable materials and structures that SEEQS uses to implement its Portfolio Defense System.

Read more about our EQS Model:

SEEQS’s EQS course model has been added to The Innovative Models Exchange by Transcend Education.

If you are interested in an in-depth look at how we design EQS courses, head over to the exchange to browse through our resources and learn about how you can implement similar structures in your school or classroom.

Student-Led Tours

A student-led tour is the perfect place for educators or community partners* to start to learn about our school - our model, students, classes, and more. Two student ambassadors, supported by a SEEQS adult host, will give you a tour and orient you to the SEEQS mission, vision, and model. Tours can be arranged most days and at most times during the school day (M/T/Th/F 8:30-3:30, W 9:30-3:00); tours during the EQS course are most common (approximately 2:00 PM start time M, T, Th, F).

*note that these tours are not for prospective families. Families interested in potential enrollment at SEEQS are invited to Open House Info Sessions hosted 10-12 times per year, both on campus and online!

Additional Offerings

Custom Professional Development

For educators and teams hoping to dive deeper into specific parts of SEEQS’s model, we offer partial- or full-day professional development (at SEEQS or at your site) tailored to each group or school’s needs.  Explore an example agenda and hear what previous visitors have had to say:

“There is no PD substitute for experiencing the process of a well-designed and well-executed process for portfolio defense. Mahalo, SEEQS , for your generosity and contribution to our learning community!”

“I loved the blend of hearing from students, visiting classrooms and experiencing a SEEQS learning experience. The framing from students at the beginning was powerful and the entire experience modeled what learning looks like at SEEQs, artfully and intentionally designed. Thank you!”
