Enrolling at SEEQS
Intentionally Different
Choosing a middle school is a big decision and we want to help you make an informed choice. The SEEQS school model is innovative, rooted in vision and values, and based on research about best practices for how we learn. Below is everything you’ll need to learn what makes SEEQS unique and how to take the next steps toward becoming a SEEQS family.
Step 1: Read about SEEQS
Interested in SEEQS? You’ve come to the right place! SEEQS is a school built on the vision that SEEQers will be stewards of planet Earth and healthy, effective citizens of the world. We are a school of choice and enrolling families should be aware of (and aligned with) our vision, values, and educational approach.
We recommend that you start by reading through the Why SEEQS? and Frequently Asked Questions pages of our website.
Step 2: Create a SchoolMint account
SEEQS uses the SchoolMint platform for all enrollment-related activities. SchoolMint is our main point of contact throughout the enrollment process. It enables you to RSVP for an Open House Info Session, submit an enrollment application, receive enrollment-related communications, and more.
Step 3: Attend an Open House Info Session
One of the best ways to get a feel for the SEEQS experience and community is to attend an Open House Info Session. In these hour-long gatherings, school leadership, staff, and students will share about our school and answer your questions. Attending an Open House Info Session is strongly recommended and it is best to attend as a family (prospective students included).
RSVP to attend our next Open House Info Session on Wednesday, December 11 - if you’re interested in enrolling in the 2025-2026 School Year!
Step 4: Try the SEEQS “Right Fit” Tool
We have a new tool to help families determine whether SEEQS is truly the ‘right fit’ for their child. We strongly encourage you to take 5-10 minutes with this tool, as a family, to help you make a decision about enrollment.
Step 5: Submit an Enrollment Application
SEEQS consistently receives many more applications than we have spots available, so we use an independent, auditable, double-blind lottery to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to attend. Each school year, SEEQS will enroll a full class of new 6th graders (approximately 60 students) and fill all spots that may become available in grades 7 and 8.
Wait until January 15 to submit an application to SchoolMint to apply for the 2025-2026 school year.
Open Enrollment
January 15 - March 15, 2025
All applications submitted during this time will be included in our admissions lottery.
Enrollment Lottery
March 17, 2025 at 12:00 pm
On this date, families will receive an offer of admission or a spot on the waitlist based on their lottery number. Families receiving an initial offer of admission will have until mid-April to make a decision.
Rolling Admissions
March 17, 2025 - October 15, 2025
If offers of admission are not accepted or already enrolled students withdraw from SEEQS, spots may become available. Additional offers will be made in order of waitlist priority. Families receiving an offer of admission during the Rolling Admissions period will have 2 weeks to respond with a decision. New applications submitted during this time will be added to the end of the waitlist in the order received.
The SEEQS enrollment process complies with all applicable regulations and guidelines. For more detailed information, please view our Enrollment Policies. For specific admissions and enrollment-related questions, you may email enrollment@seeqs.org.
