Jackie Kimbro
Director of School Operations

Jackie is originally from Honolulu but spent most of her childhood raised on military bases in Japan. She developed her passion for education early, deciding she wanted to be a choir teacher in the 7th grade. This led her to earn a BM in Music Education and Opera Performance from Chapman University in California before moving to Boston to become a service volunteer and then Program Impact Manager with City Year, an AmeriCorps non-profit organization. After her big move home, Jackie taught College & Career Readiness, Test Preparation, 9th & 10th Grade English, and Choir at ‘Aiea High School while working toward and receiving her Post-Baccalaureate Secondary Education Teaching license from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. During the pandemic, she took on the role of Managing Director of O'ahu Choral Society. Since joining SEEQS, Jackie has worked to refine systems and uplift the mission and vision through her work, having held the roles of Office Manager, School Manager, and now Director of School Operations. To this role, she brings a dedication to excellence and passionate pursuit of joyful learning and working.

"I work at SEEQS because I believe in education that empowers young people to ask important questions and search for ways to actively improve the world around them."
