Ellie Stimax
English Language Arts Teacher
Originally from the east coast, Ellie developed a love of teaching at a young age. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Spanish at Lipscomb University, and began her career in education teaching high school in Nashville. Combining her passions for teaching and experiencing other cultures, Ellie has lived and taught in various places, including Ecuador and China. She has also worked in outdoor education in Oregon, teaching students about environmental sustainability and forest ecology. Ellie’s teaching philosophy revolves around fostering meaningful relationships with her students, nurturing their love for reading and writing, and witnessing their growth into confident communicators. Nothing makes Ellie happier than seeing her students buried in a book or proudly sharing their writing!
Outside of SEEQS, Ellie can be found playing with her baby boy, spending time with family, cooking and baking, doing yoga, and paddle boarding.
"I work at SEEQS because of the positive environment that fosters a joy of learning for everyone - teachers, students, and the community. I’ve always dreamed of working at a school where I can combine my two passions in teaching - literacy and sustainability! I’m very excited to begin my journey at SEEQS this year."
