Cara Chaudron
Director of Teaching & Learning
Cara was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i to a family full of educators. She considers herself a lifelong learner and has always felt most inspired when working to make student experiences as strong as possible. She earned her BA at Vassar College where she double majored in Education and Psychology. Cara earned her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at Brandeis University, where she also became licensed as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities. She earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Hawai’i in 2020, where she used her dissertation to learn about the experiences and reflections of SEEQS alumni. Cara is also honored to have been named the 2022 Hawai‘i Charter School Teacher of the Year. The 2024-2025 School Year marks Cara’s tenth year as part of the SEEQS community, where she gets to work with teachers and students who share her love of learning, desire for sustainable living, and passion for inquiry and exploration. She is very humbled and excited to use her experiences from the past nine years as a math teacher at SEEQS to inform her work as Director of Teaching and Learning.
"I work at SEEQS because I get to spend every day doing work I believe in, with people I love, in the place I call home."
