Shun Mizuno
CLASS OF 2015
Shun attended Kaiser High School, then completed a B.S. in Marine Biology at UH Mānoa. During his undergraduate study, Shun participated in research focused deep sea ecosystems, then traveled to Japan and operated deep sea camera systems with National Geographic.

Kainoa Chong
CLASS OF 2016
Kainoa attended Mid-Pacific Institute, Vermont Woodworking School, and now works as a craftsman specializing in Koa wood-working for Martin & MacArthur. He recently won an Emerging Artist Award in the DAC Artists of Hawaii 2024 Exhibition.

Senala Poe
CLASS OF 2017
Senala attended Roosevelt High School, and has now completed a professional degree in Culinary Arts at Kapiolani Community College with focus in sustainable food use. They are an intern and prep cook at natuRe Waikiki, a farm-to-table restaurant focusing on local ingredients.

Jaydon Laboy
CLASS OF 2018
Jaydon attended Mid-Pacific Institute, and he is a junior at Chaminade University of Honolulu completing a degree in Environmental Science. In his internship, he works on Limu population monitoring and water quality testing.

Alexis Yee
CLASS OF 2019
Alexis attended Kaiser High School, and she is a sophomore at Oregon State University studying Zoology and Environmental Law. In high school, she advocated for issues of sustainability as part of the Blue Planet Foundation’s Climate Crew.

Kalamakahi Crabbe
CLASS OF 2020
Kalamakahi attended Kamehameha Schools Kapālama. She was a student leader in ASKS (Associated Students of Kamehameha Schools), Vice President of KS’s advocacy club, and organizes/performs for Hawaiian Ensemble. She now attends UH Mānoa for Hawaiian Studies and Political Science.
